Woodworker: Bob Passow
When I began woodworking as a hobby in 2000, my purpose was to make once used wood useful again. I salvaged the lumber from an old garage on some property we bought and began building old style school benches, patio furniture and flower pots. I expand my product line as I find new items that I feel people would like to own and enjoy. After an active 42 year Civil Service career, I needed something to do with my spare time. I come from a long line of carpenters and woodworkers, so I must have come by the love to work with wood naturally. When I retired I built a 12ft X 16ft wood shop. I thought it would be plenty big “for what I was going to do”. I still use my shop for detail work and assembling, but I acquired an old garage to store my raw materials and to do my rough cutting. I finish my woodworks in our new garage. Over the year I have been asked to build different items, some using rustic pine lumber and some using new oak or fir. I have participated in juried craft shows throughout Montana. Will consider special orders email: berapassow@midrivers.com
